About

Update: As of January 2017, this blog is no longer being updated.

Watch This Space was born out of a project for the Digital Media module (class) at Oxford Brookes University. It was originally hosted on the university’s servers, but quickly moved here where it has morphed from a haphazard collection of thoughts on publishing, life, food, and books to a book-centric blog featuring reviews of adult, teen and middle grade fiction, fantasy and science fiction, with the occasional other genre book thrown in.

Sometimes I write about book culture, film, or other things going on in my life, but books are, as they say, my bag.

Who am I?

My name is Kelsey. I’m 27, have a BA in Media and English Studies and an MA in Publishing. I love reading fantasy, science fiction, and general fiction books. My all time favorite books include I Capture the CastleCatch-22Howl’s Moving CastleFangirlAncillary Justice, Annihilation, Uprooted, and Harry Potter.

When I’m not reading, I enjoy watching scifi television shows (Farscape, The Flash, Stargate SG-1Battlestar Galactica), HGTV (Income Property, Property Brothers, Rehab Addict), and NCIS. I also enjoy writing, scrapbooking, antiquing, and trying new restaurants. I live just outside of Philadelphia.

I love books so much that I also work as a publicist for Quirk Books, a small, independent publisher based in Philly. Yay books!
